How to Get Rid of Brown Spots on the Legs

Brown spots on the legs are often thought to be caused by the accumulation of melatonin in the upper layers of the skin. Also known as liver spots, these benign skin lesions may also be caused by pregnancy, injury acne and excessive sun exposure. Liver spots are not dangerous but can be unsightly and, in rare instances, can make the detection of skin cancers more difficult. However, there are numerous ways to help lessen their appearance.

Instructions

Apply a bleaching cream or lotion to the affected area. Clean the skin first and massage the cream into the leg until it is absorbed.

Massage Vitamin-E oil on your leg. Vitamin-E can help reduce the hyperpigmentation that leads to liver spots. Vitamin-E lotion and oil are readily available at pharmacies and supermarkets.
