How to Enter Beauty Pageants for Seniors

Beauty pageants for seniors often are contests, which judge a womans life accomplishments and the beauty from within rather than physical beauty. Although pageants for women over age 60 are not always easy to find, if you do enter a beauty contest for older women there are some things for which you need to be prepared.

Brush up on your interpersonal communication and public speaking skills. You will be required to go through an interview process. As you answer the judges' questions, remember that not only are you older, you've gotten better! Youve come a long way in life. Dont be afraid to communicate that fact.

Answer all the interview questions honestly. Focus on being yourself and pause briefly before replying to each question. Never rush to answer. This is your opportunity to share with others your viewpoint on some important humanitarian or societal issues. Dont be nervous. Instead, concentrate on expressing your convictions. You not only will be judged on what you say, but also on how you say it.

Dress the part, but wear clothing in which you feel comfortable. Look professional for the interview, as this part of the pageant is serious business. For the formal wear segment of the contest, select an evening gown that reflects your own style and personality.
