How to use a Power Exfoliant

Power exfoliants are designed to quickly eliminate dead skin cells for a smooth, blemish-free complexion. When used correctly, power exfoliants are very effective, inexpensive and efficient. Because you are dealing with the skin on your face and neck, however, you must be very careful and do you research before beginning this type of skin care regimen.

Instructions

Wash your hands. Use soap and clean water to wash your hands and get rid of excess dirt and bacteria. Observe proper hand-washing procedures before the application of any skincare products to the face.

Remove your makeup. Use your trusted makeup remover to remove any trace of makeup on the skin. You may use a cotton ball or facial tissue to do this. Always follow the instructions provided on the product.

Wash your face. Use a facial cleanser and wash your face gently to remove any traces of oil and makeup residue. This will also prepare your skin for the exfoliant. Work the product from the jaw line upward to the forehead and hairline for even application. Concentrate the product on the cheeks or in areas where dark spots or blemishes are present.

Rinse well. Use warm or tepid water to rinse the product off your face. Remember to splash cold water in the final stage of rinsing to close the pores in your face. Pat dry with a clean face towel.
