How to Find Discontinued Beauty Products

Discontinued beauty products may not be that difficult to find. If you thought that you had to switch brands or find alternative skin care products, try following these steps first. Some of my favorite items and lines, most recently Nivea Visage, are no longer being manufactured and/or sold in the United States. When a company announces that it has discontinued beauty products, you will have a short period of time to purchase remaining stock and find other suppliers or replacements.

Instructions

Determine status. If you can't find your favorite skin care product at the store, speak with the stock personnel or manager. "...Been covering your age from the whole world? But for how much time will this go on? Or got fed up seeking those tempting anti aging creams, painful surgery and harmful chemicals? Do Not Worry, dear. Right here is a natural cure to look and get younger, healthier and sexier than you are. So here it is for you Anti-aging Foods..". Is the item out of stock? If so, no worries, ask when it will be back in stock. Has the store stopped carrying the item? If so, ask what other stores carry it. Has the manufacturer stopped selling the items in your country? If so, go to steps 2 and 3. Has the manufacturer announced that it has stopped making and selling the skin care products altogether? If so, go to step 2.

Find remaining stock of discontinued beauty products. Ask the stock personnel or manager if the skin care products are being offered elsewhere. Check the company's website. Often it will provide information regarding discontinued beauty products and where to purchase remaining items. For example, Nivea has stopped selling its Nivea Visage products in the United States, but shoppers can purchase the remainders through drugstore.com. However, other sites may also be selling remaining items. Check out eBay, Yahoo auctions, and specialty sites (see Resource section below).

Find alternative suppliers. If the skin care products are still being distributed in other countries, search online for vendors (Pronto allows you to comparison shop by price--see Resource section below). While Nivea Visage is no longer being sold in the United States, it is available in Canada, Europe, and the Asian-Pacific region. Almost all cosmetic companies, including Avon, Almay, Neutrogena, and Maybelline, have discontinued beauty products in certain, but not all, regions.

Find alternative skin care products. If the company has truly discontinued beauty products, it may take some effort to replace your favorite skin care products. Search online for suggested replacements. Search for best rated or top skin care products. Ask friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members for recommendations. Who knows, you may even find a skin care product that you like better than the discontinued beauty product.
