How the Pearl Procedure Works
Used to treat the face, hands, neck and upper chest, the procedure begins by using light to remove damaged and dead skin from the upper skin layer. At the same time, the Pearl laser penetrates through the lower-skin layers with heat to jump-start collagen growth. With this two-part procedure, the patient receives near instant results as well as long-term benefits. The entire treatment only takes 15-20 minutes. In severe cases it may require additional treatments, scheduled 30 days apart.
Why the Pearl Procedure Is Better
The skin responds well to this type of laser treatment, automatically developing a covering on top of the treated skin. This eliminates the need for additional bandages and ensures the skin is protected as it heals. Within three or four days, when protection is no longer needed, it sloughs away.
