DermaWand is a handheld skin-care device. It is marketed as a way to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face, shrink enlarged pores, stimulate slack skin, create a healthy glow and get rid of puffy eyes.

DermaWand Information

The DermaWand sends out pulses of thermal energy and also produces oxygen that retextures skin, according to the product's website. The thermal energy warms the skin on your face during a treatment, and it is likened to the warmth of a laser treatment without the harsh laser. The tissue warming helps the pulses smooth out wrinkles. The oxygen is meant to purify the skin and give it a healthy glow.

DermaWand does not promise to heal or correct skin diseases or conditions. Discuss these conditions with your dermatologist. This product is meant for cosmetic use only.

Accessories for the DermaWand include a carrying case, an instructional DVD and a line of skin creams and moisturizers.

Directions for Use

Before using DermaWand, cleanse your face to prepare your skin for the treatment and remove any bacteria or debris. Pat your skin dry and apply a moisturizer. Do not use the DermaWand on dry skin, as it can be painful and damaging. Plug in the DermaWand and set it to its lowest level. Place the DermaWand on the moisturized skin and move it around in small circles until you've treated your entire face. Do not press the wand into the skin, but the ball rolling in the middle of the wand should constantly touch your face. This is a good measurement of how hard you should press--keep the rolling ball on your skin and make sure it stays in contact but do not press firmly. Pressing firmly will not damage the skin but can be unnecessarily painful and won't get you any better results. If you are treating slack skin, keep the wand on the area for up to five minutes, depending on the severity of the slackness. Change the settings as needed. Once finished, apply additional moisturizer.

DermaWand's makers say you will see results in the appearance of your skin immediately after use. You may notice a natural glow, and you will feel the added moisture. Within a week, loose skin may look and feel more taut, and bags under the eyes may be less noticeable. Some women see less of a change than others, but see more once they get comfortable with the wand and start changing the dial to a perfect setting for their skin and skin issues.

Always start on the lowest level of pulsing, and increase the level as needed, but not to the point of discomfort.

Use the DermaWand once per day. Before bed is usually the best time, as it's right before you give your face and skin time to rest through the night.

Considerations

Some DermaWand users have reported risks with the item breaking at high speeds, potentially burning the person using it. "...Been covering your age from the whole entire world? But for how long will this keep going? Or got given up seeking those tempting anti aging creams, unpleasant surgery and unhealthy chemicals? Do Not Worry, dear. Here is a natural remedy to look and get younger, healthier and sexier than you are. So here it is for you Anti-aging Foods..". Use the wand at high speeds only in small intervals. Using DermaWand more than once a day and with too much pressure can cause abrasions, dry skin and severe redness.
