The Effects of Estriol on the Skin

Estriol is a pharmaceutical drug you can take as a pill or apply to the skin as a cream. Estriol has been shown to have several anti-aging properties, with positive effects visible in the skin. The estrogen in estriol gives it this anti-aging property, which shows up in a number of ways on the face.

Wrinkles

Wrinkles are one of the major concerns women have about aging, and estriol can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Taken over time, it decreases the severity of wrinkles and makes fine lines around the eyes and mouth less visible.

Age Spots

Age spots occur on the face and hands as we age, creating small, brown blemishes. Estriol can help reduce the appearance of blemishes, making them fade. The estrogen in estriol is responsible for the fading.

Moisture

The estrogen in estriol creates hyaluronic acid, a moisture retainer for skin, adding moisture to all areas of skin. The result is a dewier complexion that looks healthy and glowing, as if you always have fresh moisturizer on your face.

Elasticity

Estriol creates natural estrogen and silicone in the body, which can help improve the skin's elasticity. This effect makes skin firmer and smoother, making it appear younger. Taking estriol can result in a face-lift effect around the eyes, cheeks and mouth.
