How to Rid Gray Facial Hair in Females

Do away with gray facial hairs and maintain your youthful look by tinting your brows and lashes. Depending on your personal beauty regime and preferences, you can choose to temporarily tint eyebrows and lashes with mascara and eyebrow gel, or use permanent coloring products to dye gray eyebrows and lashes.

Instructions

Pluck any stray hairs above and below your eyebrows.

Fill in sparse areas in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil using feathery 1/2 inch strokes in the same direction as hair growth. Choose a product that is within one to two shades of your current hair color.

Brush a tinted mascara or eyebrow gel onto your eyebrows. Select a product that is one to two shades darker than your hair color, for light hair, and one to two shades lighter than your hair if you have dark hair. Coat gray hairs a second time.

Brush through the eyebrows with a clean eyebrow comb to eliminate any clots.

Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler.

Brush on black or brown mascara from the roots to the tips of your eyelashes. Let dry for 10 to 20 seconds, and brush on a second coat.

Mix up a small amount of dye, following the instructions on the package exactly.

Put a small amount of dye on a 1 inch area on the back of your neck or arm to test for irritation and allergic reactions. Leave the dye for the amount of time specified in the instructions. Rinse thoroughly, removing all traces of the dye. Examine the area after two days, if there's no rash, redness or irritation , you can use the dye without fear of an allergic reaction.

Wash and moisturize your face at least an hour before you plan to dye your eyebrows. Rub extra moisturizer around your eyebrows, to help prevent dying your skin.

Mix up a small amount of dye, following the instructions on the box exactly.

Apply the dye to your eyebrows, and leave on the amount of time specified on the box.

Wipe off hair dye with cotton balls. Be careful not to get any dye on your skin or clothing, as it will stain. Wipe the area a second time with damp cotton balls. Continue wiping the area with damp cotton balls until all traces of dye are removed.

Wash your face using an oil-free cleanser. Wipe your eyelashes clean with an oil-free cleanser and a cotton ball to remove all traces of makeup and natural oils.

Coat the skin around your eyes with petroleum jelly very carefully with your fingers or a cotton swab. This will protect your skin from the dye.

Mix up the eyelash dye cream as instructed on the package. It should be a thick, creamy consistency that doesn't drip.

Brush on a thin coat of eyelash dye the same way you would apply a layer of mascara. Use the wand provided, or an unused eyelash wand.

Leave the eyelash dye on for 10 minutes, or as instructed on the box.

Wipe off the mixture around the eye with a damp cotton swab, keeping your eye open. Close your eye and remove the remaining dye from the lashline with a fresh cotton swab
