Tone Reduction or Strengthening Exercises of the Face

Those who wish to tone the face or strengthen underlying muscles to make their skin appear tighter or firmer can benefit from tone-reduction or strengthening exercises of the face. These exercises are a noninvasive alternative to other means, such as a face lift. Any exercises suggested can be done on a daily basis to encourage facial firming.

Double-Chin Exercise

    According to the Facial Exercises Guide website, you can lose your double chin by standing up and pulling your head slightly back so that your face is tilted toward the ceiling. Cheek-Lift Exercise

    Lift your cheeks by taking three fingers and pushing your cheeks down with them on each side of your face. At the same time as you are pushing your cheeks down with your fingers, smile as big as you can and lift your cheeks. Repeat this exercise three to five times and up to once per day.

Neck Exercise

    The neck often shows age faster than the face. Firm the neck area by sitting up straight and tilting your head up. Move your lower lip over your top lip and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise 10 times to firm and tone the neck area and area under the chin.
