How to Look Younger in Your Late 40s

As time ticks on, you will notice the condition of your skin beginning to deteriorate. The aging process affects each person differently and the rate in which you age depends on how you treat your body. In your late 40s, the aging process often becomes more noticeable, as you battle with wrinkles, dry skin, sagging skin and spider veins, for example. Several methods can help you reduce the appearance of aging, giving your skin the youthful glow it once had.

Instructions

    1

Perform a cardiovascular workout, such as jogging, at least three times per week for more than 15 minutes each time. Cardiovascular exercises help tighten your skin because they help to rid excess fat that can make your skin sag.

    2

Sit upright and then tilt your head back. Look at the ceiling and close your mouth. Make the chewing motion with your jaw. This will help tighten a saggy chin and neck.

    3

Use a body scrub while bathing. Scrub every area of your body, especially areas that are dryness prone. Your face and upper arms are the most problematic areas. The scrub will help get rid of dead cells on your skin, making you look younger and more vibrant.

    4

Visit a dermatologist to get rid of spider veins. He will perform a surgery called sclerotherapy, which will collapse the vein after it is injected with a needle. Up to 80 percent of spider veins are eliminated after several treatments.

    5

Use only organic skin-care products. Other products may damage your skin and cause it to look prematurely old. When using organic suntan location, use at least a 30 SPF to further protect your skin from damage.
