Doing facial exercises to tone the appearance of your face is the same as doing exercises to firm the muscles of other parts of the body. Like any area of the body that you workout your facial exercise regimen requires commitment, practice and time for you to see the results of your efforts.

Facial Workout

    Wrap your lips around your teeth and really stretch the skin taut to form a wide "O".

    Pucker up in an exaggerated kiss, then with your lips still puckered smile as broadly as possible.

    Press your lips together and keep them together while you drop your jaw and push it forward.

    Close your eyes. Drop your eyelids down as far as possible and at the same time raise your eyebrows as far as possible. The you'll open your eyes and frown and raise your eyebrows as far as possible.

    Lower your eyebrows as far as possible, wrinkle your nose as much as possible and flare your nostrils

Neck and Throat

    Tilt your head back as far as possible and hold for a count of ten. You should feel a stretch in your throat.

    Face forward, then turn your head as far as possible to the left and hold for a count of five. Repeat, turning your head as far as possible to the right for a count of five.

    Facing forward, tilt your ear toward your right shoulder as far as possible. Hold for a count of five. Repeat, lowering your left ear toward your left shoulder for a count of five.

    Tilt your head back again, as far as it will go. Slowly open and close your jaw five times.

Exercise Caution

    Currently there isn't any medical evidence exists that facial exercises erases wrinkles or improves the health of skin.

    In front of mirror if possible, do each exercise at least ten times. Take your time and repeat this exercises daily. If you feel any pain or start to have headaches discontinue the exercises.

If you're doing an exercise that requires you to touch your face, use the pads of your fingers, not the tips, to avoid scratching yourself. If you're having an outbreak of acne or eczema or sunburn on your face and neck, don't do facial exercises until the problem passes.
