How to Exercise the Neck for Women

The neck is an area of the body that can reveal the age of women, often more than any other area around the face. The skin on the neck is thin and has little to hang on to. Aging causes the neck muscles and skin to lose their elasticity.

Instructions

    Close your mouth. Look up at the ceiling. You must feel your neck muscles tighten in order for this exercise to work properly. "...Been hiding your age from the whole world? Now, open your mouth and pretend to chew while still looking up toward the ceiling. Repeat this exercise for 10 to 15 seconds at a time, several times each day.

    Exercise your neck in another way as you look up toward the ceiling. Stick your tongue out as far as you can, trying to touch your nose. Then, repeat the exercise, but this time try to touch your chin with your tongue. Each time, hold the position for approximately 10 seconds. Women see amazing results in as little as two weeks.

    Let your arms hang down loose by your sides as you prepare to do this exercise for your neck. Move your head to the right, turning it as far as possible. Then, turn your head to the left as far as possible. Keep your chin level and continue moving your head from side to side, pausing for about five seconds on each side.

    Continue to let your arms hang by your sides and tilt your head to the side as if you were trying to touch your head to your shoulder. Go back and forth several times. You should feel the muscles in your neck stretch and tighten.

    Stretch the back of your neck as you exercise. Lean your head forward gently as if you are trying to touch your chin to your chest. Women tend to hold stress and tension in the neck. This exercise not only improves muscle tone, but helps relieve tension caused by stress.
