How to Cure Puffy Under-Eyes

Curing puffy under-eyes can be easy if you take a few extra steps everyday. Puffy bags underneath your eyes make you look tired, sick and older. There are many causes for puffy under-eyes. Illnesses, poor genetics, allergies, hormones, crying, or lack of sleep can lead to puffy under-eyes. Fluid can also become trapped underneath the tissues on the under-eye and cause puffiness. With gentle treatments and prevention methods your eyes can look refreshed and young everyday.

Instructions

Rub eye cream onto your under-eyes very gently.

Pat eye cream onto your puffy under-eyes gently. Use a cream formulated for specifically for eyes with anti-aging properties. Do not use regular lotion and creams underneath the eyes. The skin of the eye area is sensitive, and it can easily become dry or wrinkled if you use the wrong products.

Drink plenty of water. You will drink 2 quarts of water every day to keep your body hydrated.

Everyone needs beauty sleep, so rest your eyes properly.

Use extra pillows to elevate your head when sleeping. Try to sleep on your back rather than your belly or sides. Get plenty of rest. Adults need between seven to nine hours of sleep a day.

Enjoy the cooling feel of the cucumbers as they help cure your puffy under-eyes.

Slice a cool cucumber into 1/4-inch sections. Place one cucumber slice on each eye. The coolness of the cucumber will help reduce swelling of your under-eyes, and it will act as an astringent for your skin.

Relax for at least 20 minutes with the cucumbers over your eyes. Repeat this treatment daily.
