Exercises for Neck Wrinkles

It's never too early to get started preventing "turkey neck"; many times women and men will do anything to minimize facial wrinkles but neglect their necks completely. Muscle Strengthening

    Sit up straight with your head and neck straight, and place the palm of your right hand just above your ear. Using resistance, try to touch your ear to right shoulder. Do not move your head, but keep it straight so you can feel the resistance. Hold for five seconds, then repeat on the left side. Do this from the front to back as well, to get all neck muscles.     Another exercise to try involves simply rotating your head from side to side and backward. Turn your head to one side as far as you can and hold for five seconds, then repeat on the other side. Always keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Do the same while looking up; the key is doing them slowly and you will actually feel your neck muscles working.

    There are some simple exercises that you can do anywhere at any time, but you may look a bit odd doing them in public.

    Sit up straight, keeping the neck straight; without tilting the head back, repeatedly try as hard as you can to get your lower lip to touch the tip of your nose. Do this for one- to two-minute intervals throughout the day. Another neck-wrinkle exercise involves tilting your head up toward the ceiling and pretending that you are chewing; do this for two to three minutes several times a day.
